Golf wraps up action in Georgia

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, GA – The Wright State golf team wrapped up action on Saturday at The Peoples Championship, finishing 13th as a group as Shane Ochs had a solid final round to lead the way in a tie for 16th individually.

Ochs, who opened the final 18 holes tied for 43rd, carded a bogey-free round with a pair of birdies and an eagle on the par five fourth hole for his four-under Saturday 67 to end the tournament at one-under overall. Ian Asch moved up on the final leaderboard as well, mixing four birdies and four bogeys for an even par final round 71 to finish in a tie for 30th at two-over for the tournament. Timmy Hollenbeck was nine-over on Saturday as he ended the week tied for 61st at seven-over, while Landon Harris, playing as an individual, recorded five birdies on the way to a final round one-under 70 to finish nine-over overall in a tie for 71st.

Adam Horn carded four final round birdies as part of his three-over 74, ending action at 11-over in a tie for 80th, while CJ Scohy was five-over on Saturday for a final round 76 to finish at 15-over in a tie for 99th.
The Raiders are back in action March 23-25 at the Sweetens Cove Intercollegiate in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, just outside of Chattanooga.
