Burch, Imariagbe turn in 19 points each in Sunday win

INDIANAPOLIS – TJ Burch tallied a career-best 19 points and Michael Imariagbe had a season-high 19 points as the Wright State men's basketball team closed the afternoon with 10 of the final 14 points to grab an 81-77 road Horizon League victory at IU Indy.
Wright State (9-4, 4-1 HL), who has now won four games in a row for the first time since the 2021-22 season, stays on the road for a pair of matchups in Michigan next weekend, first taking on Detroit Mercy on Friday night before a Sunday afternoon nationally televised ESPN2 contest at Oakland. Fans can follow the all the action several ways – on ESPN+ (Friday, Sunday), via live stats or by tuning in to the Wright State Radio Network – 101.5 FM 'The Fridge' and WING 1410 AM. Chris Collins and Jim Brown will have all the play-by-play action on the radio feed.
The Raiders led 46-39 at the break after shooting 60 percent in the opening 20 minutes, but IU Indy (4-13, 0-6 HL) never went away, with the hosts chipping away throughout the second half and taking a two-point lead on a layup with two minutes to play. Wright State immediately responded, with Kellen Pickett throwing down a dunk through contact before finishing the three-point play at the free throw line. After IU Indy again tied the contest with just over 60 seconds remaining, the Raiders closed on a 7-2 run, all of it coming at the free throw line, to seal the win.
Imariagbe had 14 of his 19 points in the first 20 minutes, finishing the afternoon shooting 8-of-12 from the floor with five rebounds and a pair of blocks, while Burch tallied 11 of his 19 in the first half as he ended the win with a complete stat line of three assists, two rebounds, two steals and a block. Logan Woods added 13 points and Solomon Callaghan was the final Raider in double digits with 11 points as the pair combined for five three-pointers, seven rebounds and seven assists. Pickett chipped in nine points and a game-high seven rebounds.
Wright State finished the win shooting 57 percent overall (26-of-46) while hitting eight of its nine three-pointers in the first half (53 percent) and going 80 percent at the free throw line (20-of-25). IU Indy shot 48 percent (31-of-64) and was 8-of-20 (40 percent) from deep with a 64 percent mark (7-of-11) at the free throw line. The Raiders tallied 18 assists on their 26 made baskets, adding nine total blocks as a group, including four from Pickett and two from Imariagbe.
Kyler D'Augustino had a game-high 31 points to lead three players for IU Indy, who also got 15 points from Jaxon Edwards and 12 points from Maguire Mitchell in the loss.
