Raiders head to Michigan for the weekend, take on Detroit Mercy Friday

DAYTON -Â The Wright State men's basketball team hits the road to Michigan for a pair of games this weekend, beginning with a Friday night contest at Detroit Mercy. Friday's tipoff is set for 7Â p.m., and fans can follow the action several ways - watching on ESPN+, via live stats or by tuning in to the Wright State Radio Network - 101.5 FM 'The Fridge' and WING 1410 AM. Chris Collins and Jim Brown will have all the play-by-play on the radio feed.
Fans can tune into 101.5 FM 'The Fridge' or WING 1410 AM live over the air in the Dayton metro area, as well stream the station live nationwide through a variety of free streaming apps. TJ Burch tallied a career-best 19 points and Michael Imariagbe had a season-high 19 points as Wright State closed Sunday afternoon with 10 of the final 14 points to grab an 81-77 road Horizon League victory at IU Indy. Logan Woods added 13 points and Solomon Callaghan was the final Raider in double digits with 11 points as the pair combined for five three-pointers, seven rebounds and seven assists. Kellen Pickett chipped in nine points and a game-high seven rebounds.

Wright State has won four straight games for the first time since a a six-game winning streak in February and March 2022 to close the regular season, win the Horizon League tournament and NCAA First Four game.
PICKETT EARNS HL WEEKLY FRESHMAN HONORS
Kellen Pickett was named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week on Jan. 5. Pickett tallied his first collegiate double-double against Milwaukee and averaged eight points as he helped Wright State to a 3-0 week in HL play. He finished the week shooting 71.4 percent from the floor with the 8.0 points per game average and 8.0 rebounds per game mark, adding seven blocks to his weekly stat line.
TITAN TUSSLE
Friday will be the 72nd meeting all-time between Wright State and Detroit Mercy, with the Raiders leading the series 43-28 and have won 20 of the last 23 overall over the last eight seasons. The first meeting came back on Jan. 5, 1994, a 78-71 Wright State road victory inside Calihan Hall.Â

- Detroit Mercy is 6-8 overall with a 3-2 mark in the Horizon League, coming off an eight-point home loss last Friday to Robert Morris. Detroit Mercy is currently 3-2 at home.
- Detroit Mercy has won five of its last seven contests, dating back to November 29, after opening the season 1-6 with five of those defeats by double digits.

TJ Burch's 45 steals are the 5th-most nationally through games on January 7, with his 3.00 steals/game average No. 6 nationally. Burch has multiple steals in 12 of 15 games. Despite missing the Ohio Wesleyan game, he has three games with five steals (against Radford and Kent State at the Greenbrier Tip-Off, Dec. 7 against Green Bay) and picked a career-high six steals on Dec. 29 against Oakland.
