Raiders return home for Thursday matchup

DAYTON - The Wright State men's basketball team welcomes IU Indy to the Nutter Center for a 7 p.m. tipoff on Thursday night. Fans can follow the action several ways - watching on ESPN+, via live stats or by tuning in to the Wright State Radio Network - 101.5 FM 'The Fridge' and WING 1410 AM. Chris Collins and Jim Brown will have all the play-by-play on the radio and television feeds.
Fans can tune into 101.5 FM 'The Fridge' or WING 1410 AM live over the air in the Dayton metro area, as well stream the station live nationwide through a variety of free streaming apps. The iHeartRadio app, the TuneIn Radio app and the Audacy app are all FREE and each carry both stations. Just search "101.5 FM 'The Fridge" or "WING 1410 AM" on any of the three apps for Raider Basketball.Â
**Fans are encouraged to use the Wright State Raiders app as the primary method for managing their digital tickets, which are required for entry to all WSU basketball events. LAST TIME OUTÂ
Redshirt-freshman Alex Bruskotter turned in the game of his collegiate career on Sunday afternoon to help lift Wright State to a 102-90 road victory at Cleveland State in Horizon League action. Bruskotter turned in 25 points to lead four Wright State players in double figures, adding six rebounds, an assist and a steal to his final stat line. TJ Burch ended the afternoon with 23 points, Dominic Pangonis tallied 18 points and Michael Imariagbe notched another double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds as he chipped in five assists.
BOUNCED BACK
The Raiders have had strong bounce back shooting percentages recently following losses. After shooting 40.6 percent on Feb. 12 in the loss to Detroit Mercy, the Raiders connected at 72.7 percent in the first half at Cleveland State before finishing the win shooting 61.8 percent overall. The bounce back shooting followed a similar path from other recent hot shooting games are a loss.
A SERIES CALLED JAG(S)
Wright State and IU Indy (formerly IUPUI) have previously met 30 times entering Thursday's contest, with the Raiders leading the series 26-4 having won 20 of the last 22 matchups overall. In the first meeting on January 4, TJ Burch tallied a then- career-best 19 points and Michael Imariagbe had a 19 points as the Raiders grabbed an 81-77 road victory.Â
EYING IU INDY
- IU Indy is 7-21 overall with a 3-14 Horizon League mark, having lost three straight games and seven of its last 10 contests overall.
- IU Indy is currently 2-13 on the road, with its wins coming at Eastern Michigan in November and at Oakland in mid-January.
CENTURY MARK
Wright State's 102 points on Feb. 15 at Cleveland State were its most this season and the second time reaching the century mark after scoring 100 in the Nov. 20 win over Ohio Wesleyan. The 102 points against Cleveland State were the most since the Raiders tallied 113 points in a 120-113 double overtime home loss to Purdue Fort Wayne last January. Prior to Feb. 15, the last time Wright State eclipsed 100 points in regulation agaist a Division I opponent was in a 101-71 home win over Robert Morris back on February 17, 2024.Â
SWEET SIXTEEN
Wright State has 17 wins and counting this season – in 16 of those wins, the Raiders have led at the half, led with 10 minutes to play and led with five minutes to play. The lone outlier win when trailing at the half came when the Raiders were down one point at the break to Youngstown State in January in an eventual 93-83 win.
