LAST TIME OUTÂ
Wright State scored 11 seconds into the afternoon on Sunday and never trailed on the way to a 83-75 Horizon League road victory at Green Bay. Kellen Pickett finished with a career-best 21 points, turning in an 8-for-11 shooting mark with eight rebounds, while Solomon Callaghan added 15 points and Dominic Pangonis filled his stat line with 12 points, four rebounds, two assists, a pair of blocks and a steal. TJ Burch was the final Raider in double figures with 11 points.
TURNED A TOUGH DOUBLE PLAY
Wright State captured wins at Milwaukee and Green Bay over the weekend on the same trip for just the third time in program history. The Raiders most recently completed the sweep in January 2023, also doing so in February 2013.
CLEANING THE GLASS
The Raiders are 14-0 to date when winning the battle on the defensive glass, while they have also outrebounded their opponent on the offensive glass in 10 of their 15 wins.
JAMMIN' JANUARY
Wright State won seven of eight contests in the month of January, its most victories in a single month since going 7-3 in January 2022 ahead of its Horizon League Tournament title and NCAA appearance.
RAIDERS ON A ROLL
The Raiders' January success is part of a larger streak, as Wright State enters February winners of 10 of its last 11 contests. The lone loss came Jan. 21 against Cleveland State - a team that's on its own four-game winning streak.
(ROBERT) MORRIS TO COME
Wright State and RMU have met just 13 times, with Wright State taking eight of the 11 meetings as Horizon League foes. The first meeting came Jan. 24, 1977 inside the old Physical Education Building on the Wright State campus - an 80-76 Raider victory.Â
COLONIAL ROAD
- Robert Morris is 14-10 overall with a 6-7 Horizon League mark, coming off a Saturday road loss at Purdue Fort Wayne. RMU is 9-3 at home overall but has lost three of its last five at home.
- Robert Morris has lost three of its last four games, including two at home, after winning five Horizon League contests in a row from Jan. 1-15.
MAKING THEM NOTICE
Wright State's recent winning ways have garnered some national attention, as the Raiders were ranked No. 23 in the latest CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll, released Feb. 2. Wright State makes a return to a poll they were a mainstay in during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 campaigns - the Raiders were ranked as high as No. 7 late in the 2020-21 season and were featured in every weekly ranking during the 2019-20 campaign.
