LEXINGTON, KY – The Wright State women's soccer team fell 9-1 on the road Sunday evening against Kentucky at Bell Soccer Complex.

Wright State (2-2-1) will remain on the away from home, taking the short trip across town to take on Dayton Thursday night. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.

Kentucky opened the scoring early and found the back of the net five times in the opening 22 minutes of the match. Kyla Dawn recorded a first-half hat trick with goals in the sixth, seventh and 16th minutes, while Nadia Ramadan and Juliette Rayo each added goals as the Wildcats built a 5-0 advantage.

The Raiders got on the board in the 38th minute when Addy Canter converted a penalty kick for her first goal of the season, cutting the deficit to 5-1 before halftime.

Kentucky added four second-half goals to seal the victory. Ramadan scored her second goal of the night in the 61st minute before McKenzie Godfrey, Elkie Bowyer and Dani Chaump each found the back of the net over the final 30 minutes.

Leigha Lauer made five saves in 69:21 of action for the Raiders before Jordan Frantz entered in relief and recorded one save over the final 20:39.

In the box score, Wright State trailed Kentucky in shots (23-2), shots on goal (16-2), corner kick opportunities (12-0), and possession percentage (62-38). Canter and Chloe Dunford accounted for the Raiders' two shots on goal.
