FORT WAYNE, IN – The Wright State men's soccer team fell 1-0 to Purdue Fort Wayne Saturday night in a Horizon League matchup at Hefner Soccer Complex.

Wright State (3-4-1, 2-1 HL) will remain on the road to take on Xavier in a non-conference match on Tuesday, September 22. First touch is set for 7 p.m.

The Mastodons controlled much of the match offensively, holding the Raiders to two shots over the 90 minutes while earning seven corner kick opportunities.

After a scoreless first half, Purdue Fort Wayne broke through in the 57th minute. Jonny Hernandez and Daven Arias combined to set up Brandon Razo, who found the back of the net for the match's lone goal and a 1-0 Mastodon lead.

Wright State was unable to generate an equalizer over the final 34 minutes as Purdue Fort Wayne held on for the conference victory.

Alex Normandeau played all 90 minutes in goal and made one save for the Raiders. Edoardo De Filippis and Abiel Gunn accounted for Wright State's two shots on the night.

In the box score, Wright State trailed Purdue Fort Wayne in shots (13-2) and corner kick opportunities (7-4). The Mastodons also held a 2-0 edge in shots on goal.
