Two in Top-10, Raiders Fourth at Ball St Invite

MUNCIE, IN — Landon Harris finished 36 holes on Saturday at 1 under par to lead the Wright State men's golf team through the first two rounds of the Ball State Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational at Delaware Country Club.
The Raiders followed an even-par opening round of 280 with a 287 in the second round. At plus-seven, the Raiders are fourth across the 16-team field entering Sunday's final round.
Harris opened with a 1-under 69 before adding an even-par 70 during Saturday's nightcap. He recorded birdies on 9 and 15 in the second round and played the back nine without a bogey.
CJ Scohy finished one stroke behind Harris at even-par, pairing an opening-round 69 with a 71. Scohy's five birdies in the first round helped Wright State share the early team lead with Butler and Central Michigan.
Jake Wittenauer posted rounds of 71 and 74, while Max Clarke followed a 71 with a 75. Aiden Standifer improved three strokes in the afternoon, shooting a 72 after an opening 75. Standifer's second-round score joined those of Harris, Scohy and Wittenauer in the Raiders' team total.
Jack Ward, competing as an individual, joined Wittenauer with carded rounds of 71 and 74. Wright State returns to Delaware Country Club on Sunday for the tournament's final round as they look to chase down Butler, who at five-under has a two-shot tourney lead over host Ball State.Â
