Wright State University Athletics

Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

The Wright State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) represents and articulates the interests, opinions and concerns of student-athletes to the athletic administration. The committee actively works on implementing ideas and activities that enhance the student-athlete experience, promoting unity among student-athletes by organizing activities and functions that cross team lines, and increasing student-athletes' levels of involvement on campus and in the community. The SAAC also engages their teammates in valuable wellness opportunities while promoting the department's Life Skills Programming that focuses on personal development, career development, and social responsibility development.

Each athletic team is represented by two student-athletes who serve on SAAC and provide communication to and from the team and the athletic administration regarding all aspects of the intercollegiate athletic experience at monthly meetings throughout the school year. SAAC members are selected by their respective coaches based on their leadership qualities both on and off the field.

The SAAC is led by eight members who are elected as its officers. Elections occur annually in April; the officers' term runs for the academic year.

If a student-athlete has a question or concern that they would like to discuss regarding any aspect of their intercollegiate athletic experience, please instruct him or her to contact their team's SAAC representatives.
