Brett Wilson

Brett Wilson was born and raised in Youngstown, OH where he became a member of the Track & Field team at Youngstown State University.
 
“We are extremely excited to have Brett join our staff,” WSU head coach Rick Williamson said. “His enthusiasm for the sport of Track & Field, his desire to help young people grow and learn, and his overall attitude towards the role of education and collegiate athletics fits very well into our program’s culture and philosophy.”
 
In 2015, he served as an intern at U.S. Olympic Training Site SPIRE Institute in Geneva, OH under renowned track & field coach and director Charlie Powell, and concurrently interned with the Michael Johnson Performance strength and conditioning program on-site.  
 
He also served as sprints/hurdles/jumps coach at Niles McKinley for five seasons, starting his own AAU track & field club where he coached national qualifiers Kyle Lough and Chante' Clinkscale.
 
A 2015 graduate of YSU, he earned his bachelor’s degree with a in Exercise Science
