Liz joined the Wright State University staff as an assistant athletic trainer in 2018, working primarily with the women’s soccer team and serving as the insurance coordinator.
Prior to working at WSU, Verplank spent 2015-2018 at Jacksonville University in Florida, as an assistant athletic trainer working primarily with the softball team, as well as, taking on administrative duties. During her time there, Liz earned her certification as a Graston Technique Specialist to enhance her manual therapy skills when working with student-athletes.
Liz earned her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Purdue University in 2013. In 2015 she earned her Master’s in Kinesiology from Southern Louisiana University while working as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with the football and softball teams.
Verplank is a Licensed Athletic Trainer by the Ohio OTPTAT Board, BOC Certified Athletic Trainer, and is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. She is certified by the American Red Cross in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
Liz currently resides in Dayton, Ohio. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, working out, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
