Shaila Jones

Shaila Jones joined Wright State as an assistant coach for the Raider track & field programs in August 2025.
 
Jones joined the Raiders after spending time as an assistant at UT Martin, where she coached sprints and hurdles for the Skyhawks and helped the group to six top-10 finishes at Ohio Valley Conference Championships this spring. Jones helped her student-athletes break two school records and 49 personal records, with four seniors breaking personal bests set back during their freshmen years.
 
A native of St. Louis, Jones earned her Master of Science in Sport Coaching and Performance from UT Martin after receiving her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Saint Louis University, where she competed in sprints and hurdles for the Billikens for four seasons. Jones also holds a USATF Level 1 Coaching Certification.
