Jon Sbrocco saw great success as a Raider, setting several records that still stand today.
Sbrocco’s career batting average of .386 ranks second, his .521 career on base percentage ranks first, and his 203 runs scored rank second. He is in the top ten in career hits (sixth with 261), career doubles (fourth with 55), and career triples (sixth with 13).
The second baseman holds three spots on the season-high batting average list at third with .447 in 1991, fifth with .409 in 1992, and 10th with .395 in 1993. His seven triples in the 1993 season rank first.
Sbrocco’s record-setting career earned him several honors during his time with the Raiders, including being named Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Year in 1993. He was a first-team All-League selection in 1992 and 1993, and an All-Tournament team selection in 1993 and 1992, when he was named Tournament MVP.
Drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 1993 Major League Baseball draft, Sbrocco spent five seasons in their Minor League system.
