Raiders go to Overtime
The Wright State University men's basketball took Coaches vs. Cancer, a team of former collegiate players, to overtime before losing 87-86 at WSU's Ervin J. Nutter Center Sunday
afternoon.
The Raiders took the lead 77-75 with under three seconds to go in regulation on an Alex
Kock 15-footer but Coaches vs Cancer stormed down the court and tied the game on a layup
by Harold Arceneaux. In overtime, the lead went back and forth until Arceneaux hit a
three-pointer with less than three seconds remaining for the win.
The Raiders were led by seniors Vernard Hollins with 26 points and eight rebounds and Seth
Doliboa with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Freshmen also contributed for WSU as Vova
Serveroas ended up with five points and 11 boards, Zakee Boyd with 12 points and Alex
Kock with 11 points. WSU shot 42% from the field and outrebounded Coaches vs. Cancer
50-37.
Wright State will next play EA Sports in its second and final exhibition game before the start
of the season Saturday, November 15 at 7 pm.
