DAYTON – Wright State Athletics has named
Zach Beal as its inaugural NIL Program Manager. In this role, Beal will lead the university's Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) efforts as well as revenue sharing—serving as the primary point of contact for student-athletes, campus stakeholders, local businesses and community partners.
As NIL Program Manager, Beal will oversee all aspects of Wright State's growing NIL and revenue sharing initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with the university's broader strategic goals of recruitment, retention, and relationship-building. His work will focus on maximizing opportunities for student-athletes to benefit from NIL, while also cultivating partnerships that generate revenue, enhance the Raider brand, and strengthen ties with alumni and area businesses.
In his role, Beal will serve as a resource and advocate for student-athletes, providing guidance on contracts, professional development and regulatory compliance, while ensuring Wright State remains aligned with NCAA, Horizon League and state guidelines. With the college athletics landscape rapidly evolving, Beal's leadership will help position Wright State at the forefront of this new era of student-athlete empowerment.
No stranger to Wright State, Beal originally joined the Wright State athletic department in August 2023 an athletics academic advisor and compliance coordinator. Prior to coming to Wright State, Beal was an athletics compliance intern at Portland State University and also spent over 10 years in public school education. He earned his bachelor's degree in history from Central Washington University in 2008. He added a Masters in Literacy in 2016 from Seattle Pacific University and his Juris Doctor from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2023.
