Keene, NH -- The Wright State baseball team didn't hit many home runs during the 2006 season, but this summer John Kopilchack will compete in the New England Collegiate Baseball League's Home Run Derby. Kopilchack will join eleven other players from the collegiate summer baseball league to decide who the League's home run king will be.
Kopilchack smacked four home runs for WSU in 56 games during the 2006 season and so far this summer the junior has pounded out four home runs in only 25 games. Kopilchack is a member of the North Adams Steeplecats and has started 23 games in the outfield and carries a .218 batting average with 14 RBI and seven stolen bases.
The home run derby will be broadcast live on TEAMLINE.CC from Alumni Field in Keene, NH. Visit NECBL.com for more information on the All-Star festivities.
