Raiders run rule Norse Friday afternoon

Wright State (13-14, 7-1 HL) will go for the series sweep Saturday morning. First pitch at Nischwitz Stadium is slated for 11 a.m.
The Raiders jumped all over the Norse, scoring four runs in the bottom of the first. JP Peltier would open the scoring with a two-run double. Nate Manley followed the double up with a sacrifice fly to score Andrew Duncan from third. Peltier would score the Raiders' fourth run of the day by stealing home on a delayed double steal.
Wright State would get two more runs in the bottom of the fourth, thanks to a pair of RBI singles off the bat of Zac Butler and Hunter Warren.
The Raiders would hang another crooked number on the scoreboard with a five-spot in the bottom of the fifth inning. Gus Gregory would bring home Duncan on a bases-loaded walk before Patrick Fultz cleared the bases with an opposite-field grand slam. Fultz's homer is his second in as many days and sixth of the season.
Griffen Paige got the start on the mound for the Raiders and twirled a gem. The left-hander pitched six shutout innings, allowing just two hits while striking out seven Northern Kentucky batters.
Northern Kentucky would bring across four runs in the top of the seventh to extend the game to the bottom of the seventh.
Wright State would answer right back with three runs of its own to enact the 10-run rule. Butler would open the frame with an RBI single; Fultz would come in to score on an RBI groundout to the pitcher, and Braylen Blomquist would walk off the Norse with an RBI single that scored Cy Turner from second.
