Box Score Three starters scored 20 points each and another added 15, but it wasn't enough for the Wright State women's basketball team as the Cal Poly Mustangs took the lead midway through the second half and went on to an 80-76 decision Saturday night at the Cal Poly Holiday Beach Classic in San Luis Obispo, California.
The Raider lead was just 23-20 until WSU scored nine unanswered points, four of those coming from Whitney Lewis, to go up 32-20 with 5:20 remaining in the first half. Cal Poly responded with a 15-2 run of its own to regain the advantage at 35-34, but two Kanisha Ward foul shots and one from Tatianna Hall in the final seconds helped Wright State gain a 39-38 halftime edge.

Ward connected on a three to trim the Cal Poly lead to 54-53 with 10:27 left, but the Mustangs maintained their slight edge and looked to be in control as a Megan Harrison layup made it 76-67 with 3:22 to play.
The Raiders came as close at 78-76 on a Sierra Crayton putback with 10 seconds remaining, but two Sparkle Anderson foul shots at the 3.8-second mark provided the final margin.
