DAYTON, OH - The Wright State men's tennis match dropped a hard fought match to crosstown rival Dayton on Wednesday evening at Dayton Center Courts. Tony Teufel posted a victory in the #1 singles position and Jan Alafriz won his #5 singles match against the Flyers.

The Raiders got out to an early 1-0 lead on the Flyers by taking the doubles point with victories at the #1 and #2 positions. Nick Camilleri and Landon Neuman opened the match with a victory at #1 doubles, winning the match 8-6. Alafriz and Teufel then teamed to post a victory at #2 doubles, defeating their Dayton counterparts 8-1.

Alafriz and Teufel each accounted for a singles victory in the match to account for the three points WSU tallied. With a 3-0 lead, WSU couldn't find that elusive fourth victory to seal the match and Dayton pulled out a 4-3 win.

WSU drops to 0-8 overall this spring and will next take to the courts on Sunday, March 2 against St. Louis. The Raiders and Billikens will pick up their rackets for a 1:00 start, that match following the women's match with SLU at 10:00 a.m. at Five Seasons Tennis Club.
