Cassandra Lloyd, a sophomore on the Wright State track team, is 19th after the preliminary round of the 100 meter hurdles at the NCAA East Regionals Friday at the Irwin Bell Track in Greensboro, North Carolina.

48 athletes in all competed in the event in six heats, with the top 24 advancing to the quarterfinals, including the top three in each heat and the next six best times overall.  Lloyd finishing fourth in her heat with a time of 13.46 behind Ti'erra Brown of Miami (FL), who is third overall, Michaylin Golladay of Clemson, who is seventh, and Tenaya Jones of LSU, who is 12th.

The 13.46 time also set a new school record as Lloyd beat her old mark of 13.47, set on March 26 at the Raleigh Relays.

The top three from each quarterfinal heat and the next best three times will advance to the NCAA Championship meet in Eugene, Oregon, June 10-12.
