Casey Abrams, who pitched for the Raiders from 2001-03, will be inducted in the Lebanon High School Athletic Hall of Fame on December 10.
In 2003, Abrams led WSU and the Horizon League in innings pitched (114) and strikeouts (158) and finished sixth nationally in strikeouts per nine innings (12.4). Named Second Team All-Horizon League that year, he fanned 16 in a win at Detroit on April 25 and 14 in a shutout win against Milwaukee on April 13.
The 158 strikeouts are a Wright State single-season record and his career 239 rank Abrams fourth all-time. He was a fifth-round selection by the Seattle Mariners in 2003 and played four seasons in the minor leagues.
During his high school career at Lebanon, Abrams earned state recognition in wrestling, helped lead the Warriors to the Division II state football title in 1998 and starred in baseball.
The induction will take place on December 10 at halftime of the varsity basketball contest against Hamilton Ross.
