Samborsky Wins Metro Title

Wright State Head Golf Coach Pete Samborsky won the Miami Valley Metropolitan Golf Championship at Sycamore Creek Country Club in Springboro on Sunday, marking the fifth time that he has won the event (2002, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2011).
Samborsky shot a 2-under-par 70 in Sunday's final round to finish at 8-under-par overall with a four-round score of 280 (72-71-67-70). He hit 13 of 14 fairways and 15 of 18 greens in the final round after hitting all 18 greens on Saturday.
"I've been swinging it real well all week," said Samborsky. "The putter was working pretty good."
He becomes the first male to win Dayton's premier amateur event in five different years.
