The Wright State women's basketball team led 39-38 early in the second half, only to see Detroit follow with an 11-0 run to take control and go on to a 72-56 decision in the Horizon League quarterfinals Wednesday night at Calihan Hall.
Neither team had more than a four-point advantage in the first half until Detroit tallied eight straight points, including two Demeisha Fambro three-pointers, to go up 30-20 at the 3:19 mark. The Raiders, though, scored the final five points of the period on a Breanna Stucke jumper and a Kim Demmings three to only trail 30-25 at the break.
