Men's Soccer Drops 1-0 Heartbreaker to UIC in Finals

The Wright State men's soccer team engaged in a scoreless battle with UIC in the final of the Horizon League Tournament Saturday night at Alumni Field before the Flames came away with a 1-0 decision, scoring with just 4:07 remaining in regulation.

The lone goal came at the 85:53 mark of the second half as tournament MVP Oscar Rivero connected on a header following a corner kick on the right side by Max Todd.

The Raiders finished with a slight 13-12 edge in shots and 6-4 in corners.

Wright State (11-6-3) had three players selected to the All-Tournament Team in senior defender Jake Stovall, sophomore midfielder Jackson Dietrich and junior midfielder AJ Paterson.
