Men's Soccer Falls at NC State

The Wright State men's soccer team opened the scoring and later tied the score in the first half, only to see NC State score the final two goals of the contest for a 4-2 decision Tuesday night in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Senior forward Eric Lynch gave the Raiders an early 1-0 advantage with his fourth goal of the season at the 10:00 mark, finishing after a shot by senior forward Peguy Ngatcha was deflected.  Ngatcha was credited with his second assist of the year.

Two goals by the Wolfpack's Julius Duchscherer in a 4:39 span put NC State in front, only to see WSU even the score at 2-2 at the 25:21 mark as junior midfielder AJ Paterson connected for his first goal of the season on an assist by junior forward Jalim Bayo, his first of the year.

NC State, though, went in front to stay with a goal at the 35:11 mark of the first half and added an insurance goal midway through the second to round out the scoring.

The Wolfpack outshot the Raiders 21-12 and held a 10-7 edge in corner kicks.

Wright State (6-4) returns to Horizon League action on Saturday, October 1, hosting Belmont at 7:00 at Alumni Field as part of Homecoming Weekend.
