Northern Kentucky closed to within two twice in the late stages of the period before layups by Chelsea Welch and Lexi Smith helped give Wright State a 32-27 halftime lead.
The Raiders shot 47 percent in the first half compared to 35 percent for the Norse.
Six straight points extended the WSU advantage to 10 midway through the third quarter and the margin was 52-40 heading into the final period after a 7-0 Raider burst. five by Smith.
Northern Kentucky cut the deficit to 59-55 with 4:07 to play, but could get no closer as Wright State pushed the lead back into double figures on a Welch layup and consecutive baskets by Symone Simmons.
The Raiders hit 15 of 26 shots in the second half to finish at 52 percent overall while the Norse connected on 13 of 25 shots to end up at 43 percent for the game.  WSU led 46-26 in points in the paint and 18-7 in second-chance points.
All five Wright State starters scored in double figures as Welch had 15, Emily Vogelpohl 14 and Simmons, Smith and Taylor each had 12.  Simmons posted a double-double as she tied her career high with 13 rebounds.
Wright State (12-5, 4-1 Horizon), winners of three straight and eight of its last nine, travels to Michigan on Monday, January 16, for a 4:00 matchup at Oakland.
