The Wright State men's basketball team fell in overtime at Miami (OH) 73-67 Tuesday night.
First Half Highlights
Miami held a narrow margin 35-33 after the first 20 minutes. Junior
Mark Hughes led the way with eight points with one three as freshman
Loudon Love collected seven points with three rebounds.Â
Everett Winchester and
Parker Ernsthausen each finished with five points. The Raiders shot 52% from the field with 13 field goals and one three pointer while the RedHawks shot 45% but connected on six threes. WSU won the boards 20-14.
Second Half Highlights
The score stayed tight with Miami in control until under the 10-minute mark when Wright State took the lead and began to assume control. The Raiders led by as much as eight with less than four minutes to go but the RedHawks came back with back-to-back threes to push the game into overtime tied at 63. MU outscored WSU in the extra time 10-4.
The Raiders won the boards 45-35 and WSU outscored MU 30-20 in the paint. Wright State shot 42% from the field. The score was tied 10 times with 11 lead changes. Four Raiders scored in double digits led by Hughes' 14 points off three threes. Love ended with 13 points and 12 rebounds while
Grant Benzinger and Winchester each had 10 points.Â
Tye Wilburn came off the bench to finish with nine points, nine rebounds and three assists.
