The Wright State women's basketball team,15th in the latest Mid-Major Poll, went on the road to pick up an important win over the poll's #4 team Belmont Monday night 91-81.
Game Breakdown
First Half (47-45)
   *Belmont won the first quarter 18-17 as the teams exchanged leads through the half.
   *There were five ties and 15 lead changes in the first 20 minutes of action.
   *Senior
Chelsea Welch has the hot hand with 18 points, including seven of eight from the field and three of three from three-point range.

Emily Vogelpohl and
Dasia Evans each has six points.
   *Vogelpohl, Evans and
Lexi Smith each have three rebounds as WSU outrebounded Belmont 17-12.
   *Boh teams are shooting better than 50% with WSU at 56.7% and BU at 52.9%
   *WSU shot 11-14 from the field in the second quarter.
   *Belmont's largest lead was seven early while WSU's largest lead was just three during the first half.
Second Half (91-81)
   *The Raiders bounced out with the first four points from Smith.
   *Wright State increased its lead by outscoring the Bruins 28-20 in the third quarter to take 75-65 led.
   *Welch led the way with 29 points while Vogelpohl chipped in 21 points
   *Smith had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
   *All ten Raiders that saw time scored.
   Welch, Vogelpohl and Smith combined to shoot 26 of 36 from the field.
   *After those 15 led changes in the first half, there were zero in the second half.
   *WSU shot 54% from the field, connecting on nine threes.
Notes
   *Belmont was the preseason favorite to win the Ohio Valley Conference
   *WSU won the points in the paint 38-30 and second chance points 23-15.
   *Wright State is now 9-2 while Belmont drops to 9-3.
