The Wright State men's basketball team fell Tuesday night at Missouri Valley Conference favorite Missouri State 66-50 after cutting the lead to just five with under eight minutes remaining.
Game Breakdown
First Half (16-34)
   *Freshman
Loudon Love picked up the first points of the game from
Mark Hughes.
   *Senior
Justin Mitchell led the way with six points with three of four shooting from the field.
   *Love finished the first 20 minutes with five points while Hughes had three and
Grant Benzinger posted two points.
   *The Bears led in rebounding 20-13 while Mitchell, Benzinger,
Parker Ernsthausen and
Jaylon Hall had two each for WSU.
   *The Raiders shot 28% while MSU shot 51.7%.
Second Half (50-66)
   *Wright State started strong with a 12-4 run to draw within 10 points.
   *The Raiders cut the lead to five at 53-48.
   *Mitchell ended with 18 points and six rebounds.
   *Hall finished with 10 points.
   *The Raiders outscored the Bears in the second 20 minutes 34-32.
Featured Numbers
   *Each team committed 11 turnovers as WSU outscored the Bears in points off turnovers 15-12.
Next Up
  *The Raiders end the non-conference portion of the schedule with a game at Georgia Tech Friday night at 9 pm. WSU starts league play by hosting UIC December 28.
