Just over 109 minutes of hard-fought soccer saw the Western Michigan women's soccer team defeat Wright State 1-0 in double overtime at WSU's Alumni Field Thursday night.
First Half Highlights
Wright State took control of the game early, ending the first half with six shots while holding the Broncs to just two.
Second Half Highlights
Chances were plenty by both teams in the second half as WSU goalie
Miranda Thomas and the Raider defense played exceptional soccer as Western Michigan had nine shots.
Overtime Highlights
The teams were back and forth in the first overtime and most of the second until a free kick from Grace Labadie found the back of the net from about 25 feet out at 109:03 for her first tally of the year.
Wright State ended the game with 10 shots, led by
Aaliyah Patten and
Erin Graefen with two each. WMU (2-0) finished with 18 shots.
Next Up
The Raiders (1-2) will next be in action Sunday at Miami (OH) at 1 pm.
