Women's Soccer Falls to Western Michigan in OT

Just over 109 minutes of hard-fought soccer saw the Western Michigan women's soccer team defeat Wright State 1-0 in double overtime at WSU's Alumni Field Thursday night.

First Half Highlights

Wright State took control of the game early, ending the first half with six shots while holding the Broncs to just two.

Second Half Highlights

Chances were plenty by both teams in the second half as WSU goalie Miranda Thomas and the Raider defense played exceptional soccer as Western Michigan had nine shots.

Overtime Highlights

The teams were back and forth in the first overtime and most of the second until a free kick from Grace Labadie found the back of the net from about 25 feet out at 109:03 for her first tally of the year.

Wright State ended the game with 10 shots, led by Aaliyah Patten and Erin Graefen with two each.  WMU (2-0) finished with 18 shots.

Next Up

The Raiders (1-2) will next be in action Sunday at Miami (OH) at 1 pm.
