Raiders Play #19 West Virginia and Ohio State

With a start to the season at 1-0-1, the Wright State men's soccer team will travel to No.19 West Virginia this Friday for a 7 pm contest. The game will be shown online through wvusports.com. The Raiders will continue on the road,playing at Ohio State Monday night at 7 pm on the BTN Plus Network.
Wright State
The Raiders remained unbeaten after defeating Cincinnati at home 4-2 Monday night. It was WSU's third straight win over the Bearcats as they hold a 3-0-1 record over the last four seasons. AJ Paterson collected his first Hat Trick of his career as Alec Philippe tallied the fourth goal. Goalie Joel Sundell has minded the nets in both games so far with four saves and a goals against of 0.90 in 200 minutes of action.

West Virginia
Friday night will be the home opener for the Mountaineers, who are 2-0 after winning at California 1-0 and at Santa Clara 2-0 to start the season. Jad Arslan picked up two goals for WVU over the weekend, being named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week. Along with the No. 19 national ranking, WVU is ranked No. 1 in the Great Lakes regional ranking. West Virginia was nationally ranked for six consecutive weeks last season, coming in as high as No. 15. West Virginia was picked to finish second in the MAC preseason poll this year.
Ohio State
The Raiders travel to Columbus on Monday to face Ohio State at 7 pm. The Buckeyes are headed into this weekend with a 1-1 record. The Buckeyes were picked to finish seventh in the Big Ten. Seniors Nate Kohl and Hunter Robertson and junior Abdi Mohamed were named on the preseason honors list for the Big Ten. OSU opened the season with 1-0 win against Pittsburgh before falling to Florida International 3-0. They will host Lehigh Friday night.
Series Notes
West Virginia leads the overall series 3-4-0 overall while Wright State won the last meeting early in 2015 by a score of 3-1 at Alumni Field. WSU is 9-6-8 all time against Ohio State. The last meeting ended in a 0-0 tie in 2013.
