The Wright State men's soccer team used two late goals to seal a win at Horizon League foe UIC 2-0 Saturday night.
First Half Highlights
No scoring but many chances in the first 45 minutes as the Raiders took six shots overall with four on goal.Â
Eric Hutton had two shots while
Konstantin Eder,
Alec Philippe,
Dan Bent and
Christian Wright each had one shot. WSU goalie
Joel Sundell handled the lone UIC shot on goal while the Flames finished with three shots overall. Wright State took three corners to just one for the Flames.
Second Half Highlights
The Raiders kept the pressure on until
Austin Kinley put it in the net at 83:52 on an assist by
Alec Philippe. It was Kinley's second of the year. Less than a minute later at 84:49,
Stefan Rokvic collected his first of the season, again from Philippe. The Raiders ended with 11 total shots while the Flames had nine. WSU's Sundell recorded his fourth shutout while making four saves. The Flames (1-4-1, 0-2) had 11 total shots.
