Men's Soccer Hosts Detroit Mercy

The Wright State men's soccer team (5-4-1, 2-1-0) is back home at Alumni Field this Saturday to host Horizon League foe Detroit Mercy (5-2-2, 2-1-0) at 7 pm. Wright State will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary Homecoming on Saturday. The festivities start at 3 pm as the women's soccer team hosts Milwaukee in a Horizon League match up.
Wright State
The Raiders are coming into this match after taking loses in their last two games to Green Bay and Wisconsin, both 2-1 in overtime. WSU has been led by senior AJ Paterson with five goals and Alec Philippe with two goals and three assists. Austin Kinley has two goals and an assist from his position on defense. Luke Treadway and Zach Burgmeier picked up their first goals for the Raiders over the past two games. Goalie Joel Sundell has a goals against average of 1.14 in 10 games.
Wright State leads the overall series 16-12-2. The Raiders won 2-0 at Detroit Mercy last season on goals by Eric Lynch and Peguy Ngatcha.
Detroit Mercy
The Titans tied at #16 Ohio State Tuesday night 2-2 and defeated Belmont 4-0 last Saturday. Spiro Pliakos leads UDM with seven goals and one assist while Tyler Moorman holds six goals and two assists. Goalie Robbie Beckwell has a goals against average of 1.26 in eight games.

Wright State will be back on the road next Saturday in Nashville, TN for another Horizon League match up against the Belmont Bruins (3-2-2, 1-2). That game will be shown on the Bruin Sports Network
