Wright State
The Raiders, 12-12 and 4-8, will host Oakland, which sits just above WSU in the standings. Wright State split the matches last week, defeating IUPUI 3-0 and falling at Northern Kentucky 3-1. Three Raiders average over 2.5 kills per set in Abby Barcus, Celia Powers and Teddie Sauer. Lainey Stephenson has an assist average of 8.89 during her freshman campaign.
Oakland
The Grizzlies, 9-14 and 5-7, defeated Milwaukee 3-0 and UIC 3-2 last weekend. Oakland's Lindsay Wightman has been named Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 22-28 after a pair of stellar performances last weekend against Milwaukee and UIC. Wightman, a sophomore from Lake Orion, MiI, notched 51 digs averaging 6.38 digs per set as the Oakland volleyball team won both of its matches. On Oct. 26, Wightman led all players with 18 digs in a three set win over the Panthers, then came back the next day and recorded 33 digs, which is tied for the sixth most in a match in school history, in a five set win over the Flames. It was her second career match with 30-plus digs.
Green Bay
The Phoenix, 15-9 and 10-2, sits on top of the Horizon League. GB dropped the first conference match, then reeled off 10 wins until falling at Cleveland State 3-0 last weekend. Ashley Sledge leads the league in hitting percentage at .313 while teammate Taylor Wolf leads the league in kills per set at 4.42. Maddie Yoss sits atop the conference setters with 10.91 per set.
