Angel Baker honored as Freshman of the Week
Baker Earns Honors in Her First Week

Indianapolis, Ind. – The Horizon League released its weekly Team of the Week honors on Monday afternoon, and Wright State freshman guard Angel Baker was named as the Freshman of the Week for her performance in her first two collegiate basketball games.
Baker shined for the Raiders in their season opening contest Tuesday against CSU Bakersfield, dropping 21 points in her 21 minutes on the floor, all while shooting 73 percent from the field. She was not satisfied with just that performance, however, as she would follow it up with 15 more points in the Raiders win over UNLV Friday night. Baker is now averaging 18 points per game on the young season and is shooting an honorable 70 percent from the floor.

Baker followed that excellent showing up with a 15-point effort in a win over UNLV Friday night. She went 6-for-9 from the floor in the contest, bringing her season field-goal percentage to 70 percent and finished the week averaging 18 points per contest.
