@WSUWBasketball Earns Second Straight Victory in Nashville Saturday

Nashville, Tenn. – After setting a Challenge in Music City record yesterday scoring 93 points against Hofstra, Saturday's game against Stetson for Wright State took a much more defensive structure. The Raiders used a defensively dominating second half to win their second straight game.

First Half Recap
After a record scoring output yesterday against Hofstra, the Raiders struggled early on in Saturday's game against Stetson getting on the board. Shooting just 22 percent from the field, including 14 percent from behind the arc, the Raiders managed to put just 19 points on the board in the first half. The green and gold brought the same defensive intensity they exhibited a day ago in the first half, forcing 12 Stetson turnovers in the first half alone. 10 of Wright State's 19 first half points came off of Stetson turnovers, as the Raiders made the most of their chances.

Second Half Recap
Coming into the second half trailing by eight, the Raiders wasted no time getting themselves back into the game. Mackenzie Taylor continued her hot scoring streak over the past few games in the second half on Saturday, tallying 13 points in the second half alone, and 17 in the game. Symone Simmons set a Challenge in Music City record with 15 rebounds in the contest, as the Raiders limited the Hatters to just 17 points in the second half. Simmons also added nine second half points as the Raiders would go on to win by a comfortable 13 points.
