@WSU_SB Falls in Extra Innings

The Wright State softball team dropped a close decision at Dayton on Wednesday afternoon, falling 2-1 in eight innings.
 
The game was a low-scoring affair, as both Ashley Sharp and Maddux Hughes pitched for the Raiders. Sharp went three innings, allowing only two hits and no runs.  Hughes came in for relief of Sharp, giving up just four hits and two runs in five innings. The Raiders were led by Madison Mills' home run to left center field in the seventh inning to break the 0-0 deadlock and put WSU up 1-0. Kelly Dillow notched two singles on the day, and Madison Whitaker also reached on a single.
 
Wright State, 12-21 and 6-5, will travel to Oakland University for a three-game series that begins with a doubleheader on Friday at 2 pm followed by a single game Saturday at 1 pm.
