Kennaw's Slam Leads @WSU_SB

The Wright State softball team returned home to defeat the Bowling Green State Falcons 6-4 on Tuesday at the WSU Softball Field. 
 
The Raiders got out to a hot start by scoring two runs in the first inning, and adding four more in the second inning. Jordan Kennaw drove in all four runs in the second inning, by crushing a grand slam over the fence for her third home run of the season, and her 20th RBI. Macey Gunther also had a great day at the plate by singling twice, drawing a walk, and driving in the first run of the game. Madison Mills singled twice, and Honnah Susor also reached base twice, and scored both times she reached the base paths. Also, both Mackenzie Soma and Jordyn Poulson registered their first hits of their collegiate softball careers. 
 
The pitching performance was a shared outing of all four pitchers spending some time on the mound. Ally Russell was the starting pitcher, and pitched four outstanding innings by only allowing one hit and no earned runs to pick up here fifth win. 
 
Wright State improves to 16-30. The Raiders, 9-10 in league action, will be back in action against Cleveland State on Friday at 4:00 pm, with hopes to improve their conference record before the upcoming Horizon League Tournament.
