"I was really happy with how the team played this weekend, and we continue to get better every week," WSU head coach Brian Arlinghaus said. "I'm really impressed with the condition of our players and will continue to stress the importance of good strength and conditioning.  Walking 36 holes (10-12 miles & 9.5 hours) while maintaining a high level of focus in over 90-degree heat with high humidity doesn't come without good strength and conditioning. Director of Sports Performance Cole Pittsford is the best at getting our guys ready physically." Â
"We had some really good Golf Metrics Statistics this weekend, and it shows that our hard work and focus on specific areas of each players' game is paying off.  We led the field with 57 birdies and were second in par 5 scoring (-16) which is always critical to tournament success. We had two players finish in the top 5 (Austin Schoonmaker 3rd / Bryce Haney 5th) and the two freshman in the lineup (Davis Root T20 & Cole Corder T27) who played exceptionally well."
The Raiders will next be in action at the Cleveland State Invitational Oct. 8-9.
