Raiders wrap up season at NCAA Regional Wednesday

COLUMBUS – The Wright State golf team concluded its 2025-26 campaign on Wednesday afternoon with the final round of the 2026 NCAA Columbus Regional, with the Raiders finishing the tournament in 13th as a group at 58-over as Timmy Hollenbeck led the way individually in a tie for 27th.

Wednesday capped another successful season for the Raiders, who captured their 10th Horizon League Championship in Florida last month, tying them for the most all-time in the Horizon, while Shane Ochs grabbed the individual title. Wright State tallied seven top-five finishes in 11 total tournaments this season spanning the fall and spring schedule, highlighted by the Horizon League Championship and a sixth-straight team title at the Wright State Invitational in April. Ochs was named Horizon League Golfer of the Year and Conner Lash was named the HL Coach of the Year for the third-straight season. In addition to the two major awards, Ochs was joined on the All-League First Team by Hollenbeck.

The final round on Wednesday saw Wright State card a seven-over 309 as a group. Hollenbeck jumped up 23 spots on the individual leaderboard following his final round even par 71, balancing two birdies with a pair of bogeys. Shane Ochs ended his Raider career in a tie for 41st at 13-over, finishing up action with a final round 12-over 83 after entering Wednesday a few shots off the individual leader.

Fellow seniors Adam Horn and Ian Asch wrapped up their Wright State careers as well, with Horn notching a pair of final round birdies on the way to a five-over 76 and a 14-over final score. Asch finished with a 10-over 81 on Wednesday, concluding action at 29-over, while CJ Scohy also carded a 10-over 81 in his final round, ending the regional at 25-over in a tie for 71st.
