The Wright State men's soccer team battled No. 15 Marshall to a 2-2 double overtime draw on Tuesday night behind a pair of goals from
Logan Thompson and
Alec Philippe. The Raiders move to 5-3-2 on the season, while Marshall also moves to 10-1-3.
Marshall's Victor Dias scored the lone first half goal, finding the back of the net in the 20
th minute to give the visitors the advantage and they would hold throughout the remainder of the opening 45 minutes. Pedro Dolabella answered for the visitors and gave The Herd a 2-1 lead in the 86'.
The Raiders knotted things up for the first time in the 58th minute, setting off a flurry of action on both sides.
Jeremie Charron connected with
Logan Thompson, who found and empty net and chipped it over the keeper to tie the game at 1-1 in the 58'.
Alec Philippe recorded his fourth goal of the 2019 regular-season in the 90' to tie the match a 2-2 and send the match into overtime.
