After four combined goals in the opening 45 minutes, the Wright State men's soccer team and visiting Oakland needed extra time on Saturday night, with the Golden Grizzlies getting a golden goal from Dylan Borczak to hand the Raiders a 3-2 loss in Horizon League action.

The Raiders fall to 5-4-1 overall and 1-2 in HL play, while Oakland improves to 5-3-2 overall and remain undefeated in league action at 3-0-1.

Wright State jumped out to an early lead after
Jackson Dietrich connected on a penalty kick opportunity in the 13
th minute for his fourth goal of the season, but Oakland answered right back with a goal of its own in the 14
th minute by Charlie Braithwaite. The visitors took the lead at the 19 minute-mark on Evan Sawula's score before the Raiders knotted the game at 2-all on
Ids Hannema's header that found the back of the net in the 29
th minute.

Both teams would have several opportunities in the second half but neither could move the scoreboard, setting up overtime and Borczak's goal nine minutes into the extra period.

BY THE NUMBERS
- Oakland outshot Wright State 16-13, but the Raiders tallied more opportunities, finishing with a 9-6 advantage in shots on goal.
