The Wright State women's basketball tips off their 2019-2020 campaign Friday night inside the Nutter Center as the Raiders welcome the Abilene Christian Wildcats for a 7 p.m. tipoff.

The Raiders return 11 players from last seasons roster that finished the season 27-7 overall and recorded a 16-2 conference record to earn their second Horizon League regular season title.
Angel Baker was named to the Horizon League's All Freshman Team for her performance during the Raiders campaign.
In mid-October, Wright State captured four first-place votes and finished with 91 total points as the Raiders were as co-leaders for the top place in the Horizon League preseason poll.
Michal Miller was named first team All-Conference and
Angel Baker was selected to the second team heading into the season.
IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU
Friday's contest will mark the first time in program history that Wright State and Abilene Christian have met on the hardwood. Last Season, The Wildcats finished third in the Southland Conference with an overall record of 23-10, winning the Southland Conference Championship to take a trip to the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship. Â

While Wright State returns 11 players this season, The Raiders did lose four key components from their roster.
Emily Vogelpohl,
Mackenzie Taylor,
Symone Simmons and
Imani Partlow all graduated for the Raiders. Vogelpohl averaged 30.5 minutes last season, racked up 303 total points and provided 98 assists.
Despite losing four seniors, the Raider head into the 2019-2020 adding three new additions to their roster in
Destyne Jackson,
Jada Roberson and
Kaylyn Pendleton.
