Raiders Head to Boca Raton for Two-Day Tournament at Florida Atlantic

The Wright State women's basketball team heads to Florida for two games in the FAU Thanksgiving Tournament, beginning on Friday afternoon with a 12 p.m. tipoff against Kansas inside FAU Arena in Boca Raton, Florida. The Raiders are one of four teams competing and will have an additional game on Saturday following Friday's matchup.

In their last contest, the Raiders secured an 86-74 victory on the road at Xavier, Saturday, November 23. Junior Tyler Frierson led the scoring efforts for the Raiders with 18 points and 10 rebounds, to record her first double-double of the season. Sophomore Angel Baker added 17 points, while Michal Miller recorded 14 points, respectively. Redshirt freshman Shamarre Hale made her presence known on the court, recording her first double-double of the season, with 10 points and 13 rebounds.

- The Jayhawks are 5-0 on the season. Kansas opened the year with an 84-72 victory over the Indiana State Sycamores on November.
- Friday's contest will mark the first road test for the Jayhawks, as their previous five contests have all been played on their home court.
- Brandon Schneider is in his fourth season as the Jayhawks head coach, taking control of the program on April 20, 2015. Schneider holds an overall record of 44-83.
FAU
- The Owls are 4-2 on the season and are currently on a three game winning streak, with their most recent victory coming on the road at Western Michigan, an 80-79 victory.                Â
- Jim Jabir joined the Owls as head coach in April of 2017, with nearly 30 years of coaching under his belt, Jabir holds an overall record of 490-418.
- The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team was picked to finish 10th in Conference USA, according to the annual poll of the league's head coaches.
LOYOLA MARYLAND
- The Greyhounds are 1-4 on the season and opened their 2019-2020 campaign on the road at No. 16 Notre Dame, falling 60-84.
- Joe Logan enters his 13th season at the helm of the Loyola Women's Basketball program and during his tenure he has accumulated an overall record of 176-257
- Loyola currently ranks second among Patriot League schools with 16.2 assists per game this season.
