Wright State opens Horizon League schedule at Milwaukee

The Wright State women's basketball team remains on the road and opens Horizon League play against the Milwaukee Panthers on Saturday afternoon. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. inside the Klotsche Center.

The Raiders took part in the UCF Holiday Tournament and fell by one (57-56) to St. Bonaventure on Friday afternoon before falling to UCF 69-53 on Saturday. Senior Michal Miller led the scoring efforts for the Raiders against the Knights, finishing with a team high 20 points and pulling down five total rebounds and providing two assists. Alexis Stover finished the contest adding eight points for Wright State and shooting 3-for-5 from the field and 2-for-4 from beyond the arc against the Knights.
With the loss, the Raiders fall to 5-6 on the season and the Knights improve to 7-4.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Milwaukee opened their 2019-20 campaign with a 84-77 overtime victory inside the Klotsche Center over Parkside. Their 2019-20 campaign has included contests against Purdue, Minnesota and Wisconsin. The Panthers are 3-8 overall so far this season.
- Kyle Rechlicz enters her eight season at the helm of the Milwaukee Panthers women's basketball program and during her time with the Panthers, she has complied an overall record of 107-122. At the end of the 2015-16 season, Rechlicz was named the Horizon League Coach of the Year. Â
- In October, Milwaukee was picked to finish fifth in the Horizon League preseason poll while Sophomore Megan Walstad was named to the Preseason First Team.
