
Wright State continues HL play at Green Bay

The Wright State women's basketball team will look to get back into the win column as the Raiders stay on the road and face the Green Bay Phoenix Monday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. inside the Kress Center.

The Raiders are coming off a 60-58 loss on the road at Milwaukee for the start of Horizon League play. Wright State scored first, but ultimately that wouldn't be enough as the Panthers pulled away with a 10-point lead with 4:02 left to play in the fourth quarter. Wright State fought back scoring eight points to pull within two points of Milwaukee in the final minutes of the contest.
Sophomore Angel Baker finished the night with 16 points in what would be her ninth consecutive double-figure game for the Raiders. Baker finished the contest shooting 7-for-16 from the field, 2-for-6 from beyond the arc and pulled down eight total rebounds. Freshman Jada Roberson contributed a career-high 13 points for Wright State finishing the contest shooting 4-for-8 from the field and 5-for-6 from the free throw line. Senior Michal Miller also had a double-digit afternoon as she added 11 points for the Raiders going 4-for-16 from the field, 1-for-6 from three point range and 2-for-2 at the free throw line; pulled down one rebound and provided one assist.
With the loss, the Raiders fell to 5-7 and the Panthers improved to 4-8.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- In October, Green Bay was picked tied for first place with Wright State in the Horizon League Preseason poll with both teams earing 91 points and four first-place votes. Redshirt senior Frankie Wurtz was named to the #HLWBB Preseason First Team.
- Kevin Borseth enters his 33rd season as a head coach in 2019-20 and 17th overall with the Phoenix. Borseth's overall record at Green Bay stands at 401-105 entering the 2019-20 season and 217-25 in the Horizon League. In 21 seasons as a D-I head coach with stops at Green Bay and the University of Michigan, Borseth is 488-177.
- Green Bay opened their 2019-2020 campaign with a 111-105 double overtime win on the road at Central Michigan on November 6. The Phoenix's scheduled includes victories over Mizzou and Syracuse. Green Bay is currently 6-7 overall and 1-0 in HL play as they defeated Northern Kentucky Saturday afternoon, 65-44.
