
Angel Baker named Horizon League Player of the Week

Wright State women's basketball sophomore Angel Baker has been named the Horizon League's Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
Baker turned in career-best performance on Friday night, tallying 34 points and pulling down five rebounds to lead Wright State to a 69-61 victory over SMU in Moody Coliseum in Dallas, Texas. In two games on the road last week, Baker averaged 28.5 points per game.
Friday's contest marked the fourth consecutive 23-plus point game for Baker and she has recorded double-digit points in six of the Raiders' seven games. She added nine rebounds, six assists, four steals, and one block for the week. Baker is currently ranked 21st in the country with a 19.7 points per game average through seven games.
The Raiders are 4-3 on the season and return home on Wednesday to host Marian for an 11 a.m. tipoff inside the Nutter Center on Education Day.
