The Kennesaw State Owls completed a sweep of their Bobby Bailey Memorial Tournament after wins against Wright State and Saint Louis on Sunday. The Raiders came up short in a 0-4 matchup with the Owls on Friday and got bested on Sunday 1-7. Wright State finished 2-3 in the tournament with wins over Saint Louis and Western Kentucky. Kennesaw State kept Wright State quiet at the plate. The Raiders scored the lead run in the top of the first but were shutout for the remainder of the game and recorded just one hit.
Rebekah Lenos started the game by reaching on a two-base error and
Madison Nunez completed a successful sac fly RBI. Abby Deane went the distance for the Owls.
Meredith Keel recorded the lone hit, although Wright State stayed patient at the plate, drawing six walks.
The Raiders (8-12) have a little over a week to regroup before a doubleheader against Morehead State on Tuesday, March 19 and the home opener against Dayton and Bowling Green on the 20th.
