Raiders Host IUPUI Tuesday Night
Wright State earned the No. 1 seed and its first regular season title since the 2006-07 season after earning a 65-62 win over Milwaukee in the final game of the regular season to finish the season 13-5. The Raiders hold the tiebreaker over the Norse after earning a sweep of Oakland this season. Northern Kentucky registered an 86-82 victory over the Phoenix to claim its second-straight regular season crown. The Norse are the first team since Valparaiso in 2016 and 2017 to earn back-to-back regular season crowns.
The men and the women will host a home quarterfinal game on Tuesday, March 5. The women will play Oakland at 5:30, followed by the men at 8:00.  Doors will open at 4:30. Tickets, which will allow access to both games, are $10 for Premium seats (first 12 rows) and $5 for all other seat locations. The Golden Grizzlies earned a 74-63 win over IUPUI, its fourth-straight win to close out the regular season, to earn the No. 3 seed and finish Horizon League play with a record of 11-7. Green Bay secured the No. 4 seed and final home game during the quarterfinals of Motor City Madness after going 1-1 this week. The Phoenix hold the tiebreaker over the Flames who also finished 10-8 after earning the series sweep.
UIC is the No. 5 seed for Motor City Madness after claiming a win over Detroit Mercy, 80-71, in the regular-season finale. Youngstown State comes into next week's quarterfinal matchups as the No. 6 seed after finishing the year 8-10 and holding the tiebreaker over Detroit Mercy and IUPUI with a combined 3-1 record against them. Rounding out the Motor City Madness seeds are Detroit Mercy at No. 7 with a 2-2 mark against YSU and IUPUI and the Jaguars at No. 8.
The 2019 Little Caesars Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 5-6 at the top four seeds and will culminate with the semifinal and championship games on March 11-12 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Tickets for the semifinals and championship are on-sale now. Once quarterfinal games conclude on March 5 and 6, fan section information for participating teams will be announced.
Tuesday begins quarterfinal action with No. 1 Wright State hosting No. 8 IUPUI at 8 p.m. ET at the Nutter Center, following the women's basketball quarterfinal matchup. Also on Tuesday, the fourth-seeded Phoenix will welcome No. 5 UIC at 8 p.m. ET. Wednesday's quarterfinal games will pair No. 7 Detroit Mercy at No. 2 Northern Kentucky and also No. 3 Oakland will host No. 6 Youngstown State. Both quarterfinal games on Wednesday will begin at 7 p.m. ET.
