Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Late goals lead to double overtime draw Sunday night

FAIRBORN, Ohio – After a quiet opening 45 minutes, the Wright State women's soccer team and visiting UT Martin combined for four second half goals but neither were able to find a winner in overtime as the Raiders and Skyhawks battled to a 2-2 tie Sunday night.

Brittney Petrosky found the back of the net for the Raiders in the 88th minute off a corner from Michelle Rings to give the hosts a late one-goal lead, but UT Martin responded 55 seconds later to tie the game thanks to Jacalyn Schubring that sent the match to extra time.
Jordyne Helinski was turned away twice by UT Martin goalkeeper Erica Myers in the closing seconds of the first overtime, and Wright State goalkeeper Maddie Jewell made a pair of stops in the second extra period to keep the 2-2 tie intact.

Scoreless through the first half, UT Martin got on the board first in the 59th minute when Jill Hildreth put back a rebound, but the Raiders responded to tie things up in the 70th minute via Michelle Rings' penalty kick goal to set up the closing moments of regulation and the ensuing overtimes.
